I filmed this aerial short film while in Iceland in February 2018. This was a short trip, only a few days, but I was itching to see Iceland in the winter, as my previous trip was in Spring, almost Summer. The landscapes of Iceland are epic any time of year but are especially magical when completely covered in snow.

This was shot with my DJI Phantom 4 Pro drone which I love as it’s image quality is so much better than my previous drones. There were still times when I couldn’t fly because Iceland’s winds can be so intense. In my experience, unless you go in the Summer, you will get good weather 50% of the time, which happened this time. So about 50% of the time was snow or whiteout conditions, meaning no flying. Really it just meant driving slowly through the blizzards. But for 50% of a three and a half day trip, I was happy I got enough footage to make this short film.
